One of the most encouraging things in my life has been the "miracles" that I've seen God accomplish in the lives of friends. So many of my friends represent miracles to me. Whether it's their love stories or stories of answered prayer or changed lives, they're all miracles. John Ortberg, in his book The Life You've Always Wanted, says, "Anytime a frog is turned into a prince - or even just a gentler, kinder frog - there is always something mysterious and awesome at work. In spiritual growth that 'something mysterious' is the work of the Spirit."
This post is dedicated to my friend, Phil Graf. I talked to Phil last night for a long time and was reminded again of just how much the Spirit of God has done in his life over the last year and a half. He is one of the "miracles" that I've seen God accomplish. Since meeting him in spring of '06, he has completely opened himself up to the Spirit's working and the transformation has been exciting. I praise God for this friendship. God's given and taken away this year, but Phil is definitely one of God's "gifts." There is NOTHING as rewarding as watching God change someone's life, and getting to be even a small part of it. I love that it's my full-time job. :-)
