A little bit funny

I watched the Hannah Montana Movie last night with my two young teammates (ages 12 and 16). I've been watching them all summer perfect the "Hoedown Throwdown". If you don't know what that is, it's a hoedown, or linedance, performed by Miley Cyrus (aka Hannah Montana). Every time they do it, they look so cute doing it and it looks like so much fun. The tune to the Hoedown Throwdown is very catchy and the words are totally inspiring . . . obviously. So, last night after they went home to go to bed, I shut the blinds, opened a Hoedown Throwdown tutorial on YouTube and learned the steps. Furniture had to be moved safely out of harm's way as I attempted to "Zig zag across the floor" and "shuffle in diagonal". The 180 twist involving jumping on one foot about sent me into an early grave. But, I did it! I did the whole hoedown . . . at my own pace. I practiced the whole thing about 10 times and then tried to keep up with Miley Cyrus (age 16 - exactly half my age). LOL It didn't go so well. If I ever get fast enough to do it in time with the music video, I'll post a clip of it. For now, check it out on YouTube if you don't know what it is and amuse yourself by imagining me trying to do it.

"Pop it, lock it polka-dot-it countrify, then hip-hop it put your hawk in the sky move side to side jump to the left stick it, glide

Zig zag across the floor shuffle in diagonal when the drum hits hands on your hips one foot in 1-80 twist

Zig zag step n' slide, lean in left and clap three times shake it out, head to toe throw it all together that's how we roll"

you are hilarious! When you get it down could you come to MN and teach my girls. I have nothing to offer them in the dance world. Or maybe when they go to school I will pull all the blinds, make sure Jamie is no where near home to mock me unmercifully, and check out youtube at my own pace. Too Funny!
