Thoughts on the Easter Bunny

Don't worry, nothing deep or controversial here . . . just wanted to share this with you: The Easter bunny was introduced to American folklore by German settlers who arrived in the Pennsylvania Dutch country during the 18th century. The children believed that if they were good, the "Oschter Haws" would lay a nest of colored eggs.

I thought that was interesting. I've received some "colored eggs" of my own this week.
  • Was given a sizeable, much needed, financial gift from a friend
  • Enjoyed fun guests last week - Abby Amos' fiance, Chuck, and his brother, Tim!
  • Got a call this week from a good friend that I haven't heard from in 10 years!!
  • Found out yesterday that God protected my mom this past weekend in what could have been a bad accident on the interstate.
  • Have enjoyed hearing recently of several ways God has provided and is providing for my family!
  • Found out that my brother, Travis, and probably Kaci and the new baby too are coming to visit me in October!
  • Just bought a plane ticket today for $565 home for my brother Todd's wedding in July! (In case you have no frame of reference, that is INCREDIBLY CHEAP!)
  • Talked to my 2-year-old niece on the phone today :-)

Isn't God good??? "Every good and perfect gift comes from above!"

Yes. God is so good. So very, very good. All the time : ).

I love how you threw your disclaimer out there in the first sentence : ). I was getting nervous! You know, about the Easter Bunny...
