Good Times

As I've mentioned several times in the last 10 or so posts, some of the greatest blessings of my life are most definitely the friends and family that visit me in Berlin. 2007 has certainly had it's share of visitors. I have to admit that it's been overwhelming at times. However, looking back at the 100+ days of house guests in 2007, I have to say that the good times have outweighed the hard times by 1,000 to 1. Therefore, in honor of the good times, I created a collage of memories. Enjoy. I sure did. And, to all of you who visited Berlin so far this year, I love you! Thanks for the memories.
MEMORIES
Memories are the keys
that open the doors to our past.
They are permanent images
sketched on our hearts
that never leave us
and are always there
to constantly remind us
of the times we've left behind.
Like paintings in an art gallery,
they portray the stages of our life.
All we have to do is take a moment
to walk through the gallery of our mind
and once again, we will be there.
(A poem I wrote in high school)
