Not much makes me happier than having good friends visit me in Berlin. Matt & Alicia (Horkey) DeWever were students at BBC after me when I was working as the secretary for student activities. They now support my ministry in Berlin and decided to come see it for themselves! They've been here almost a week and it's been great! The highlight was definitely renting a car and driving (Matt drove, not me - don't panic . . .) down to Munich (a 7 hour drive) on the autobahn! This is something I've always wanted to do. However, I was under the assumption that you could see the Alps in Munich, but it was so overcast that we didn't get to see them. That was pretty much the only disappointing thing about the trip. Sub-highlights included getting up to 150km (90+ miles/hour - see picture), getting to translate for Matt & Alicia for an hour while visiting the site where the company Alicia works for was started in northern Bavaria, and finally, enjoying long talks with two great friends. (The last picture is of Matt & Alicia enjoying a Berlin specialty - Donor Kebaps, or Turkish gyros.)

Cool post, I must say!
We've gotten back into the swing of things, and I've been able to do a lot of processing with God about my fears, etc. He's always doing great things, isn't He?
Can't wait to talk again soon. I've had to squelch my urges to call you almost 3 times in so many days. How did you Starbucks Macchiato costume turn out?
